Three Castles Trophy 2017 Regs

“On 9th June 2017 we will run a new one day event, The Three Castles Trophy, open to classic cars of all ages from 1921 up to 1985.

This event will start and finish in our familiar base, Llandudno, and will centre on at least a dozen driving tests at private venues, including several stately home drives. More tests than this may be run, subject to availability and route. The route has potential for as many as twenty tests, of varying length.

Prestigious halts include a lunch stop at the AA 2** Kinmel Arms, while both a pre-event welcome dinner on June 8th and a post event dinner on the 9th will ensure plenty of social time. Coffee and tea halts will be at a fine local inn and a stately home.

The route will be of around 160 miles and will be given in a tulip road book format. There will be a few secret checks and other twists to keep you entertained, but there’ll be no regularity sections or tricky navigation, making this an ideal relaxed event for couples, first time competitors and older hands alike.

Not to mention, a driver’s delight. The road sections will cover some of the best driving roads North Wales has to offer, at a scenic time of year. The tests will be enjoyable and varied. Running on a Friday helps to avoid traffic and should ensure a happy event.

Rally HQ will be the familiar 4* Imperial Hotel on Llandudno’s heritage seafront, where you’ll be offered special room rates. You’ll reserve your own accommodation so are free to stay here or elsewhere.”
