Mel Harries Memorial 2013 Regs

Ammanford MC“The event is run as a tribute to Mel Harries, a founder of the club who was tragically killed in a freak accident on the M4 before the club got off the ground.

We would like to thank and welcome Andrew Davies of Derwydd Garage (Llandybie) for sponsoring the event this year and also the use of is his premises for scrutineering. Hopefully we will be able to give you a night’s sport that you will remember. Without the help from all our sponsors, the understanding from all the residents on route and all the relevant authorities involved this would not be possible.

We are committed to reducing the amount of whites that road rallies currently use and yet again this year it has been reduced. Unfortunately due to the chosen route, there are a few that cannot be avoided. Approximately 2 miles will be used this year.

Unfortunately in December 2010, the poor weather conditions delayed the rally until January 2011 and we hope you all understand the reasons why. Hopefully this will not happen again but Safety is our main concern, not only for the competitors but for the marshals and spectators alike and if we do have to cancel/postpone again please take time to understand why.

We all look forward to receiving your entry and seeing you on the night to give you a challenging and enjoyable nights sport.
