Gremlin 2014 Regs

Gremlin“Brecon Motor Club looks forward to welcoming you to Brecon and the surrounding countryside for the 2014 Gremlin Rally.

The ‘2014 Gremlin’ will be raising money for the Brecon based charity- USK HOUSE HOSPICE, which provides much needed support in the Brecon and South Powys area for people with progressive life-threatening illnesses, help for patients, their families and their carers and help for the bereaved. Usk House now runs a “Hospice at Home” service, allowing patients to be cared for in their own homes at the end of their lives if they so choose. Usk house operates in association with St David’s Hospice Care (further details can be found at www.stdavidshospicecare.org).

This year’s event will start and finish near to Brecon before tackling what we believe to be a testing, pre-plot route of approximately 130 miles of classic lanes including about 5 miles of un-surfaced tracks on map 160 and 161. We feel confident that this will provide both an enjoyable and challenging nights sport for both experts and novices.

Brecon Motor Club is once again proud that the event has been selected to be a round of the WAMC Road Rally Championship and we are most grateful to The Gremlin Rally’s long term sponsors Mr Brian Dennis and his son Tim Dennis of The Old Forge Garage in Llanigon near Hay on Wye, for enthusiastically supporting the event.

In advance of the event we would like to thank all the householders and landowners along the route for their support and understanding.

We are most grateful to the volunteers who have carried out the necessary and all important Public Relations Work (Chatting) in the very poor weather conditions that we have recently been experiencing.

In addition to our sponsor we would like to thank the individuals and companies who have provided us with facilities for scrutineering and fuel- Jonathan Williams of Brecon Motors and Brecon Car Rentals, The Jones family and staff at Brecon MOT and Accident Repair Centre and Tim and Coral Skinner of Glanusk Services. There is also an additional list of individuals and organisations at the end of the SR’s that we wish to thank and acknowledge for their help and support with the 2014 event.

Finally we look forward to welcoming competitor, marshal and officials to the Brecon area on the night.”
