Scottish Malts 2016 Regs

“With over eighty entries now received a reserve list has been opened. If you wish to enter please contact us as soon as possible so we can add you to the reserve list. As with all events some of the crews will withdraw their entry between now and the start of the event for various reasons.

Starting from and finishing in the luxurious setting and surroundings of Cameron House Hotel on the shores of Loch Lomond, “The Malts” combines competitive driving in superb scenery with hospitality to match. The successful format will remain the same, straightforward regularity sections on some of the finest roads Scotland has to offer and driving tests over private land. The event runs over six days and is based mainly on non-damaging sealed surfaces, navigation is by easy to read tulip diagrams and the pace is such that it allows driver and navigator to take in some of the fantastic countryside (and distilleries!) that surround Scotland.

The ever popular Scottish Malts Classic Car Tour will be run in conjunction with the Reliability Trial and is intended for crews looking for a less demanding motoring experience. Entrants on the Classic Car Tour can choose to follow the same route as the Trial but are provided with a specially printed map book and are free to visit places that interest them, whilst always aiming to arrive at the hotel in time for dinner!

The Malts is aimed at a wide range of competitors, the navigation and route are designed to allow those who have never competed before enjoy the challenge and excitement of a truly international event, but still able to test the experienced crews who compete on the event.
